BEADED OBSESSIONS
Beaded Obsessions is a series of pattern books for FLAT PEYOTE. If you have struggled with tubular peyote, this might be of interest to you. These books have fun and cute designs as well as more elegant patterns for small flat amulet bags. They are usually worked as one piece and then folded to form a back or front flap. Intermediate beaders will enjoy the less often seen CIRCULAR BRICK stitch, multi-layer window sections, and petal embellishments.
If you are new to peyote, these designs will be big confidence boosters, as they work up quickly. There is a center pullout chart of stitch how-to’s. Beginner tips are spread throughout the book.
All three books are very enticing, but Book III is extremely varied containing a Marilyn Monroe portrait, intricate animal designs, bears, a tea pot, sea images, Egyptian designs, and very quick Christmas and Halloween designs.

WONDERFUL WIRE WORKS
Wonderful Wire Works by Mickey Baskett is delightful.
Every project looks do-able and fun. The jewelry projects are attractive,
but this is more than a book on jewelry. Other items decorated with wire
and beads or baubles are bottles and vases, tabletop items, lamps and
shades, picture frames, baskets, and candle holders.
